Drumming workshop @ The Guildhall with Ralph, Glyn (Magic Drum) and trainees. Followed by performance at 1:15 – 1:45pm at the Shelters opening event.
The new trainees, Matt Hartnell, Dom Kirtley, Dan Blaker and Jake Perrett co-led a drumming workshop in the shelters where members of the public were invited to join in to celebrate the opening of the new shelters on the Marine Parade.
B Sharp has just undergone a recent review funded by The Arts Council to improve sustainability, to help shape and grow our grassroots organisation that prides itself on the quality and impact of its creative work with young people.
I think B Sharp is the most inspiring project in the area and it needs to grow in order to show everyone its full potential as a hub for local musical activity.
This kind of training is a rare thing to experience before degree level and it sets one apart from other musicians because I believe that working in a team, engaging and dealing with people are as big a part of being in the music industry as actually performing on your instrument
